Join Head & Hands as part of the amazing workshop line-up at Self Care Revolution.
Learn to craft an Ojo de Dios, woven with yarn between wooden sticks in several colours - an ancient contemplative and spiritual practice for many indigenous peoples in the Americas.
The practice of making an Ojo, is repetitive, grounding and meditative. Crafting one is an excellent tool to quiet your mind and re-connect with yourself.
Head & Hands' founder Amanda, will guide you through a gentle meditation to help shed any unhelpful energies and bring you into the present moment. She will then guide you to create your woven mandala, to take home and display on your altar or sacred space.
Amanda discovered the healing remedy of slow crafts during a low point in her health. She began to explore the power of mindfulness and grounding self-care rituals to help navigate her life with a chronic illness. She set up Head & Hands, a curated store of goods for self-care and workshop programme promoting the simple act of slowing down.
"Taking charge of my wellbeing by discarding what was no longer serving me, establishing self-care rituals, the healing magic of slow crafts and rearranging my lifestyle a little, helped me finally get back on top of my health after years of being dragged along by it."
