natural dye & slow stitch

  • central parade 6-10 Hoe Street London, England, E17 4PH United Kingdom (map)

Join us to discover the stunning natural colours that lay in your vegetable basket at home.

We will explore natures powerful and alluring colour palette. Using handcrafted vegetable dyes you will experiment with natural fibre fabric using a number of impressive resist dye fold techniques to create a contrasting design. From yellow turmeric to purple onion skin, you will produce a unique textile piece that is striking, beautiful and organic.

Once you have dyed and dried your fabric, you will learn to hand stitch a coin purse or a bow tie to take home, use or gift to someone.
